Head of Communications and Product Marketing

This role is based in Stockholm and reports to the VP of Marketing.
Role overview
Paligo is looking for a Head of Communications and Product Marketing to lead thought leadership and product marketing. At its core, this role is about storytelling in complex B2B, combining thought leadership and product marketing into compelling narratives which will drive growth. This is a hands-on role where you will define our voice, write and publish the content that builds it, and drive product marketing - not just set strategy for others to execute.
You will develop Paligo’s thought leadership voice, positioning us and our leaders as trusted authorities in the structured content and AI space, while also building a product marketing function from the ground up. For this, you need an ability to turn complex product and industry topics into stories that resonate with people discovering Paligo for the first time.
You’ll also serve as a communications partner to our CEO and collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure our messaging is clear, consistent, and compelling.

Key responsibilities
Thought leadership & CEO partnership
Define and drive Paligo’s thought leadership strategy, create and own an impactful editorial calendar, write, produce and publish the articles, social posts, newsletters, and reports that bring it to life and introduce Paligo to audiences who don’t yet know us.
Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the CEO on external messaging, narrative, and brand positioning. Drive internal communications jointly with CEO to energize teams around common narratives.
Identify stories worth telling across the organization, turn them into high-impact content, and track performance to continuously sharpen what resonates.
Product marketing
Build the product marketing function from scratch: turn complex product capabilities into clear stories and value propositions, create messaging frameworks, and keep positioning consistent across brand, website, content, and sales materials.
Lead product launches end-to-end, write the positioning, produce the go-to-market assets, and measure impact.
Build feedback loops with Product, Sales, and Marketing to continuously refine what we say, how we say it, and why it matters.
Cross-functional collaboration & operations
Socialize the thought leadership and product marketing assets across teams and pull insights from Product, Sales, Customer Success, and our customers themselves.
Manage agencies, freelancers, and partners when relevant, but default to doing the work yourself.
Use AI and modern tooling to accelerate research, drafting, and distribution while maintaining quality and authenticity.
What you bring
Must-haves
A natural storyteller in complex B2B. You make technical products and industry topics compelling for audiences who are not yet familiar with the problems Paligo solves.
7+ years in communications, product marketing, or content marketing in B2B SaaS, with experience building the function from the ground up.
AI assisted content creation and an understanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, grounding and what role structured content plays in that context.
Track record of building thought leadership programs that earn credibility and market presence, and translating complex product capabilities into clear value propositions.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration, comfortable working across product, sales,marketing and executive leadership.
Native English speaker, with strong editorial skills and eye for nuance in language.

Experience with PR or PR agencies.
